I first heard about Rolfing in Germany and it immediately peaked my interest. In the fall of 1984 I had the good fortune to move to Seattle, WA where I worked for Microsoft as a translator and editor of computer programs. In preparation of becoming a Rolfer I enlisted in Seattle Massage School and passed the Washington State Board in 1986, which was the start of an ongoing inquiry and interest in the workings of the human body. Shortly after I enrolled in the Rolfing Training in Boulder, CO, graduated in 1989, followed by the completion of my Rolf Movement Training in 2002 and my Advanced Rolfing Training in 2008. I also studied Spatial Dynamics, Cranio Sacral Therapy and enjoy furthering my education through taking continuous education classes.
I am on the assistant faculty of Advanced-Trainings.com and have been teaching myo-fascial release techniques around the country since 2004. I have also assisted in the Basic Training Program for the Rolf Institute. Before moving to Sonoma County, I maintained private practices in Seattle, WA and Boise, ID.
One of the great love of my live is horses. I have studied Equine Natural Movement Therapy as well as Equine Acupressure of which mostly my horse Luke is the beneficiary. I am also an avid gardener, rancher and take great pride in my Olive Oil.
As a Rolfer I look at the physical structure of a person and I see their potential for change and growth. During each Rolfing session my goal is to create a more balanced structure that leads to diminished pain and increased mobility, and ultimately to a more creative, sensitive and emotionally secure individual.
